Monsters from the 16th and 17th Centuries
The seventeenth century was a time of great advancement for science, but it also presented a curious wave of superstition and imagination. A german scientist and jesuit called Gaspar Schott made a fantastic encyclopedia of monsters "Physics Curiosa" from that. Some of this images came from there.
